Necessary Nursery: Baby Changing Tables

There are some things that are just plain necessary in a nursery. One of those is the baby changing table. As parents, we will be changing baby diapers many, many times. It's just one of those facts of life. So why not get a baby changing table that works with your nursery?

Unless you are really lucky, finding places to store all the stuff a baby needs and gets can be a hassle. Just the diaper changing stuff can be a lot. And, I'm talking about more than the diapers themselves. There are all sorts of little extras that we tend to need in the nursery at diaper-changing time.

Besides the extra diapers, there are baby wipes, powders, lotions, even spare clothes. All of this needs to be handy when we are changing the baby. After all, you can't leave the little one laying naked on the table while you go search for something.

So baby changing tables that have handy storage areas become more of a necessity than a luxury. But, there are really tons of options for us to pick from. So you need to think about what you need versus what you can afford.

Then you also want to think about this piece of furniture as part of your nursery decor. Do you want it to match the crib and other nursery furniture? Do you want to paint it? Add wall decals for decorating to it? Do you need it to fit in a certain place, so the size of the changing table matters to you.
