The TV shows and movies aimed at children very often have licensed merchandise to work with for a bedroom theme. Most likely your child has a favorite character, or two. This becomes a very simple choice. Which character will you use in the decor?

But other great options are also available that don't focus around TV shows or movies. The same types of toys that children enjoy playing with work for themes as well. If your child like monkeys, horses, dinosaurs, etc., these can all be made into a theme for the bedroom.

Don't forget other options, like stars and planets, moon and sun, even flowers make great decor themes, especially for girls.

Themes naturally come with their own color schemes, so you are ahead of the game in that department already. But there other lots of other ways to use themes in your kid's bedroom decor. A little advice and imagination can go along way.
